So after viewing a S40, it was like love a first sight. The interior and exterior was just awesome. It does not look so "uncle-ish" which was a good thing. It had a bit of "sporty-ness" look to it.
The Volvo S40 till date only has 2 generation. It is a compact executive car which is perfect for me. Mind you that i am 6 foot 2" and i fit perfectly fine in this fine machine.
Volvo introduced its first generation of S40 way back in 1995 and back then they produced 2 model which is the Saloon (S40) and a Versatility/Estate model (V50).
The first generation was produced from 1995 - 2004 and within this first generation they also produced Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 2.5 which was the final release before releasing the second generation which was from 2004 - 2012.
Phase 2 was released in 2004 with implementing a number of technical improvements like the engine management, extra safety feature, larger disk brakes, new suspension and steering, rear light cluster and some minor instruments.
In 2004, Phase 2.5 which was the final release prior to second generation, Volvo decided to uplift with some cosmetic upgrades, like side markers, remus exhaust and some other minor changes.
More information on this is easily obtainable via our best friend "Google".
So research was done, driving test passed, loan approved and BANG! im a proud owner of a 2004 S40 Ph 2.5 2.0T.
Did not manage to find the time for a proper photo session yet, so full pictures will have to wait.
The car is amazing and im so happy that i made this buy.
